Windows Installation Guide

Download Installer

Click the download button above to get the Windows installer (.exe file). The file is approximately 150MB.

Save the file to your Downloads folder or another easily accessible location.

Run Installer

Locate the downloaded file and double-click to run the installer.

If Windows Defender SmartScreen blocks the installation, click "More info" and then "Run anyway".

Follow Setup Wizard

The installer will guide you through the process. Choose your preferred installation location.

Ledger Live will be installed along with necessary drivers for device communication.

Launch Application

After installation, Ledger Live will launch automatically. You can also find it in your Start menu.

The first launch may take longer as the application sets up its environment.

Connect Your Ledger

Connect your Ledger device using the USB cable. Ledger Live should automatically detect it.

If this is your first time, follow the on-screen setup wizard to initialize your device.

Start Using Ledger Live

Once connected, you can access all features: view balances, send/receive crypto, use the exchange, and more.

Your private keys remain secure on your Ledger device at all times.

macOS Installation Guide

Download DMG File

Click the download button to get the macOS disk image (.dmg file). The file is approximately 160MB.

Save the file to your Downloads folder or Desktop.

Open Disk Image

Locate the downloaded .dmg file and double-click to open it.

This will mount the disk image and show the Ledger Live application icon.

Install to Applications

Drag the Ledger Live icon to the Applications folder shortcut in the same window.

This copies the application to your Applications directory.

Launch Application

Open your Applications folder and double-click Ledger Live to launch it.

You may see a security warning - click "Open" to proceed.

macOS may prompt for permission to access various system features.

Grant necessary permissions for Ledger Live to function properly.

Connect your Ledger device. Ledger Live will automatically install necessary drivers.

Choose Your Package

Ledger Live is available as an AppImage (universal) or DEB package (Debian/Ubuntu).

AppImage doesn't require installation - just make it executable and run. DEB packages use your system's package manager.
